Pronghorns kick off conference 2-2
Gillette, Wyo. — The Gillette College Pronghorns volleyball team continued their strong season over the weekend, moving to 2-2 in conference play and 16-3 overall.
Defensively, Paige Rose anchored the back row with an impressive 21 digs across two matches, showcasing her consistency and leadership on the court. On the offensive side, Mackenzie King paced the attack with 19 kills, continuing her standout season at the net. Sophomore outside hitter Vondrak, a native of Iowa, also made key contributions with 15 kills, giving the Pronghorns another steady offensive presence.
"We're seeing how Region 9 volleyball is played, and we're having to step up our level of play every day," said Head Coach Chase Soennichsen.
The Pronghorns will now hit the road this weekend, facing Laramie County Community College on Friday and Eastern Wyoming College on Saturday as they look to continue climbing the Region 9 standings. The team remains focused on consistency, growth, and maintaining the competitive energy that has fueled their success so far this season.
