It is with great excitement that we announce the signing of Jami Garson, a talented rodeo athlete from Southeast High School in Torrington, Wyoming, to our rodeo team here at Gillette College. Jami's exceptional skills and dedication to the sport make her a perfect fit for our program, and we can't wait to see her compete at the collegiate level.
Jami has an impressive portfolio, including her qualifications for the 2024 Vegas Tuffest and the Jr. Rope for the Crown, as well as being a two-time CYRA Breakaway and Barrel Champion in both 2023 and 2024. Her versatility in events such as breakaway roping, barrel racing, goat tying, and team roping showcases her all-around talent and competitive spirit.
In her own words, she shared, "I chose Gillette College because they have one of the best rodeo teams in the nation. I believe they will push me to be better inside and outside of the arena, helping me grow as an athlete and as a person." This attitude aligns perfectly with our team's philosophy, and we are committed to fostering her development both as a rider and as an individual.
Moreover, Jami's academic achievements, including her induction into the National Honor Society and maintaining a GPA of 3.66, highlight her commitment not only to rodeo but also to her education. We are excited to support her pursuit of a Business degree while she competes at the highest level.
As Jami joins us, we are confident she will contribute significantly to our team dynamics and competitive success. Welcome to Gillette College, Jami! We look forward to seeing the remarkable achievements that lie ahead.
