We are excited to announce that Dayne Humes, a talented senior from Moorcroft High School, has officially signed to join the rodeo team at Gillette College! Dayne, who will graduate in 2025, has made a name for himself in the rodeo community, recently earning the title of Rawlins High School Rodeo champion. He specializes in Saddle Bronc Riding and has also competed in Steer Wrestling. As a dedicated member of the Gillette High School Rodeo Club, Dayne's passion for the sport has been inspired by his father and brother, who introduced him to rodeo.
In addition to his rodeo accomplishments, Dayne has an impressive wrestling career, achieving the status of a four-time state finalist and securing two individual state championships. His experience in wrestling has honed his physical strength, balance, and mental toughness—all of which are invaluable skills that will serve him well as a Saddle Bronc rider.
Dayne shared, "I chose Gillette College because Marvin has been incredibly supportive since I started. The college has fantastic facilities and stock, and it's conveniently close to home."
This is an exciting opportunity for Dayne as he embarks on a new chapter, combining his passion for rodeo with an academic pursuit in Business. The whole community is proud of him and looks forward to following his journey in collegiate rodeo at Gillette College!
