Korpusik Signs with Gillette College Rodeo
Gillette College Rodeo is excited to announce the signing of Jack Korpusik, a bareback rider from Norquay, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Korpusik, a 2026 graduate of Norquay School, will join the Pronghorns with a strong background in the rough stock events. He is the 2025 Canadian High School Rodeo Champion, a two-time Saskatchewan High School Rodeo Champion, and the Canadian Cowboys Association Novice Bareback Champion.
Jack was first introduced to rodeo through his uncle and a family friend who rode bulls. After deciding he wanted to ride bareback horses his freshman year, a stock contractor from a nearby town helped him get started in the event and set him on the right track.
Korpusik is a member of the Saskatchewan High School Rodeo Association, the Canadian Cowboys Association, and the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association in the novice division. Outside of rodeo, he also competed in lacrosse, basketball, and hockey, with his U15 hockey team winning their league.
In the classroom, Korpusik has earned honor roll recognition during his sophomore and junior years and plans to major in Ag Business.
When asked why he chose Gillette College, Korpusik said, "I chose Gillette because of the rodeo team and the coaches were very welcoming and have lots of knowledge. The campus size really attracted me. A few of my friends have attended and had nothing but good things to say about it."
Gillette College Head Rodeo Coach Casey Sellers said Korpusik is an exciting addition to the rough stock side.
"We are excited to add Jack to Gillette College Rodeo," Sellers said. "He brings a strong resume, a lot of try, and the kind of attitude we are looking for. He has already had a lot of success in the bareback riding, and we are excited to help him continue building on that here at Gillette College under the guidance of Coach Garrett!"
Korpusik will join the Pronghorns in the fall of 2026.
