The Gillette College Pronghorns Women's Soccer team has officially clinched a spot in the Region IX postseason, marking a strong finish to an impressive regular season campaign. Under the leadership of Head Coach Anthony Longo, the Pronghorns have demonstrated steady growth, resilience, and teamwork throughout the year—earning their place among the region's top competitors for the second consecutive season.
Throughout the season, the Pronghorns showcased their determination on both sides of the field. The squad's balanced play, anchored by a disciplined defense and an energetic offensive attack, helped secure key conference wins that propelled them into postseason contention. Several players stepped up in crucial moments, including standout performances in recent matches that solidified the team's playoff position.
Coach Longo praised the team's commitment to improvement and their ability to rise to challenges week after week. "This group has worked incredibly hard to get to this point," he said. "We've built momentum and confidence as a team, and we're ready to compete at a high level in the postseason."
The Pronghorns will open Region IX tournament play this Saturday, October 18th, at 12:00 p.m. against Casper College. The first-round matchup will take place at Kelly Walsh High School in Casper, Wyoming. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Pronghorns as they look to advance further into postseason play.
