Local Volleyball Standout, Payge Riedesel, Commits to Gillette College

Payge Riedesel is a 5 '8 offensive and defensive threat for the Campbell County Camels that will be suiting up for the Lady Pronghorns this fall. As a six rotation pin hitter, Riedesel contributed an impressive 315 kills, 428 digs, and 44 aces to her team's stats this past fall. The Gillette native received many impressive athletic accolades throughout her time at CCHS including being named to the 2021-22 Second Team All Conference, 2022-23 First Team All Conference, 2023-24 First Team All Conference, and the 2023 Wyoming 4A All-State Team! Riedesel is an all around athlete who carries 3 letters in volleyball and basketball, as well as earning 4 letters as a soccer player. The Camel offensive and defensive star helped lead her team to a 6th place finish at the 4A Wyoming State Tournament this year after they had not made an appearance in 7 years!
Payge is not only a star on the volleyball court, but she also shines in the classroom. She is a member of the Honor Roll and holds a high GPA while being a 3-sport athlete for the Campbell County Camels. Among her many athletic awards, Riedesel also added a highly regarded academic achievement to her long list of accolades. Payge is a member/recipient of the President's Education Awards Program which honors high-achieving elementary, middle school, and high school students for their hard work. This program is one of the most prestigious awards a student can receive as it is recognized by the U.S. President and the U.S. Secretary of Education. The CCHS graduate plans to study Nursing during her time at Gillette College!
When asked why she chose Gillette College, Riedesel responded, " I liked what Gillette College had to offer me with the biggest benefit being that it is close to home. I also wanted to contribute to building the program up!"
