Hailey Eldredge is an all-around star volleyball player who is coming to Gillette College from Lyman High School this fall! Eldredge holds two varsity letters in volleyball and helped lead her team to two Wyoming State Volleyball Tournament appearances during her career. Hailey had an impressive junior year as a middle blocker where she added 200 kills and 147 blocks to her team's overall stats. Her outstanding performance as middle lead her to being named to the 2022 WHSSA All-Conference Team and the 2022 WHSSA All-State Team. The Lyman High School volleyball team had a great 2022 season as a whole, starting off with a second place finish at the 3A Regionals and ending as the runner-ups at the 3A Wyoming State Tournament!
When senior year came, Eldredge was asked to step into the outside hitter role, a much different role from the one she has fulfilled in past years. Hailey not only successfully stepped into her new position as an outside, but ended up having a record breaking senior season! During her senior year, Eldredge put up a monumental 594 kills, 429 digs, 64 aces, and 43 blocks, breaking two Lyman High School records. Hailey smashed the LHS volleyball record for Most Kills in a Season with her 594 kills and the record for Most Points Scored in a Season with a staggering 702 points scored by Eldredge. Her phenomenal performance in all aspects of the game led Hailey to being named to the 2023 WHSSA All-Conference Team, the 2023 WHSSA All-State Team, and being named the WyoPreps Athlete of the Week! Hailey is also ranked #2 in the state of Wyoming for Kills for the 2023 Fall Season. Along with Eldredge having a great year individually, the LHS volleyball team made yet another appearance at the Wyoming State Volleyball Tournament where they took home third after a hard fought battle.
It is no question that Hailey Eldredge had a phenomenal high school career on the court, but she also has had an impressive academic career at LHS. She was on the "A" Honor Roll all four years of her high school career and maintained a high GPA. Hailey was also a member of the National Honors Society (NHS) which is an academic society where members are chosen to be inducted based on their Academics, Service, Leadership, and Character. During her time at Gillette College, Hailey plans on studying Exercise Science with a focus in Rehabilitation!
When asked what made her choose Gillette College, Hailey responded "I chose Gillette College because I liked the smaller campus size. I also really liked the coaches and the girls I met during my visit. It just felt like the right place for me. The facilities on campus are also super nice, I know this is a place where I can be successful and also have fun!"
