Kallea Pitts is a 5'11 Middle Blocker/Right Side from Mountain View, Wyoming! Pitts was a solid two sport athlete throughout her high school career, playing a major part in the success of the MVHS basketball and volleyball team. The Mountain View High School graduate earned two varsity letters in both Basketball as a Center and Volleyball as a Middle/Right Side. Kallea had an impressive senior season where she put up 145 kills, 63 total blocks, 31 digs, and had an overall .178% hitting percentage. During her junior and senior year, she had a career total of 224 kills, 143 blocks, 82 digs, and 18 assists which helped lead her team to the Wyoming State Volleyball Championship both seasons. The Mountain View High School Volleyball Team was extremely successful with Pitts helping lead the way on their journey to winning the Wyoming State Volleyball Championship in 2022 and 2023! On top of being a two-sport athlete, the incoming freshman was also a member of the Tribe Club Team. Kallea was also named to the 2024 Wyoming All-Star South Volleyball Team, where the top ten players from the northern half of the state are chosen to face off against the top ten players from the southern half of the state!
Kallea is currently undecided on her major, but plans on completing her General Studies during her time at Gillette! When asked about her decision to come to Gillette College, Pitts responded "I loved the town! It's not too big, but also not too small. The school is a decent size and I know that the people there are more than willing to help me if I need it! The school is also very clean and the dorms are a great size. Also, everyone I met during my visit was very sweet!"
